Rosebud Softball

Rosebud Racing, Inc. sponsors a softball team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. All games are played at Mills Pond Park. Mills Pond is a full service softball complex with 5 fields, a snack stand, beer on tap, lights, plenty of parking, a batting cage, grills, a playground and much more.

This team is the defending back-to-back-to-back regular season Champions in the Fall 2007, Winter 2007/08 and Spring 2008 Wednesday night Men's Division 2B. The players vary in age from 25 to 45 and over the years have included some of Rosebud's Sailing stars on the roster. If you're in the area, come check out a game and have a beer and a hot dog!!

UPDATE
After a disappointing Summer season where the squad was temporarily moved up to Division 2A and failed to make the playoffs, the guys are back and playing better than ever. With new uniforms and a few new faces the team steamrolled to a 6-1 record with the only loss coming by two runs in extra innings. Rosebud Racing finished the season on a 1-2 skid but both those losses came on walkoff hits and were by just 1 run each. In the first round of the playoffs Rosebud handled Outcast easily 17 - 10. The semifinals proved to be tougher going as Rosebud needed extra innings to dispose of Atlantic Bait and Tackle 15 - 13. The finals were supposed to be Rosebud's toughest test of the year as they took on the Untouchables. The Untouchables were coming off a string of 30 consecutive regular season wins and had won 37 of their last 38 games. Both teams came out smoking, as Rosebud led 24 - 22 (after just 2 innings!). Rosebud kept the pressure on however and put up 11 runs in the 3rd inning and 14 more in the 4th to win by run rule with a final score of 49 - 26 in 4 innings.
